I'm fairly new to any type of forum and I thought this would be a good one to begin with. My company is running Back up Exec 2010 R2. Presently we are backing up to tape. We are backing up 2 servers. One runs a dailey differential back up that sizes out at about 27 gigs. We are also running a full every Friday that totals about 500 gigs using 3 tapes. The second server does a SQL back up that does a flat file at noon and in the evening, about 85 gigs. It does a full on Fridays at about 175 gigs. The tapes are set up as Mon-Wed and Tues-Thur, 2 tapes for each server. I want to get off the tapes and back up to disk then off load to tape at the minimum once a month but ideally once every 90 days. The configuration assistants make everything a snap, except for one thing. Recommended drive sizes that I would need doing this at a month or at 90 days. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
