Adding additional disk as primary - Any considerations?

My work laptop has an encrypted HDD using Symantec Encryption Desktop v10.3.2. I'm planning to add an additional SSD as my primary disk, and move the HDD as secondary.

Any special consideration I should have? If I install the SSD as my primary boot disk, and then install Symantec Encryption Desktop, will I be able to access the information on the encrypted HDD? Or do I need to decrypt the HDD before moving it to a secondary disk?
