GRT restore of GPT formatted VMDK disk

we have  problem with restoring Files from tape.  (VMWare backup) backup is running in SAN-Transport mode (backup jobs are successfull) Backup Destination is on Tape (D2T) but when we want to restore files and folder from tape it's took about 7-8 hours then we get a successfull restore but no file is restored . (no error , vmdk disk is 3TB we have 6 TB for Stagging folder )

• Backup exec 15 RTM/ Windows server 2012 R2
• VMWare ESXi 5.1 / VM windows server 2008 R2
